Are you looking for a dinner recipe that feeds a crowd and takes 30 minutes or less to make? Something that you don’t need to watch while it cooks, because you just don’t have time for that!? Then you have come to the right place, because I have exactly that kind of meal to share with you today! My Simple Ham & Cheese Stromboli is just what you need!
You only need a few ingredients to make this dish, which keeps the cost down. It’s easy to double, or even triple if needed! You can even change the ingredients for the filling to suite your tastes. That makes it great for families with picky eaters!
- 1 Pillsbury crescent roll dough sheet
- 6 thick slices, or 12 thin slices of deli ham
- 18 pepperoni
- 4-6oz of your favorite cheese (I used Monterey Jack)
- olive oil spray
- seasonings, to taste (I used garlic powder and oregano)
Preheat your oven to 350*. Prepare a baking sheet by covering it with parchment paper. On your counter top lay out a sheet of wax paper and spray with your olive oil spray. Unroll your crescent roll dough onto the wax paper. Thin it out a bit with a rolling pin or your hands, just to make it a little bigger of a sheet. In the center, lay out your ham, then the pepperoni, and the cheese on top. Now flip the “short” ends up, then roll from the “long” ends to make the shape of a log. Transfer the Stromboli log onto the baking sheet, seam side down. Sprinkle the top with your seasonings of choice, and bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
That’s it! It really is just that easy! I made 2 of them for my family of 5, which fed all of us and gave us plenty of left overs for my and my husband’s lunch. I like to dip it in a little bit of pizza sauce, and serve with a side salad.
