MORE Magical Date Night Ideas!

I hope you all enjoyed my first list of date night ideas! If you did, I have good news for you. I came up with a bunch more!

Most of my date night ideas focus on having fun and engaging with your spouse. Having a strong marriage is important for the health of the whole family unit. If you make spending time with your other half and having fun together a priority, your marriage will flourish.  Here’s even more fun date night ideas for connecting with your spouse and fostering the friendship part of your relationship!

  1. Take a “Memory Lane” trip by visiting the places that are special to your relationship. Where you went on your first date, had your first kiss, etc.
  2. Set up a camera and record yourselves recreating scenes from your favorite movies.
  3. Pick up some colored dyes and white clothing, and have a tye-dying date night

  5. If you play musical instruments, have a jam session together!
  6. Spend the day at an amusement park or a water park.
  7. Buy Reflexology socks and give each other a foot rub.
  8. Go to a concert together.
  9. Rent a boat or jet-skis and and ride around a lake together.
  10. Go for a “Prayer Drive” together. Drive around your town, with no particular destination in mind, and pray. Pray for the Pastors of the churches you pass, pray for the employees and patrons of the restaurants you drive by, pray for the pedestrians you see, and so on. Let the Spirit lead you! Just make sure the driver keeps their eyes open!
  11. Bake cookies or cupcakes together and have fun decorating them.
  12. Write a short story together, alternating who writes each sentence.
  13. Go on a double-date with a couple you would like to get to know better!
  14. Play basketball, baseball, or tennis at a local park.
  15. Buy an adult coloring book and some colored pencils, then color some of the pictures together while chatting and listening to Christian radio.
  16. Pretend to be photographers and take overly posed “senior photo” type pictures of each other.
  17. Pretend you’re on the show “Chopped” by making dinner from random ingredients you have on hand. If it’s no good, go get a pizza afterward.
  18. Throw a “No Kids Allowed” party for your parent friends. You could even arrange for some of the youth group teens or childless couples to provide childcare for the event. Serving your friends together is a great way to build up your marriage too!

  20. Work together on canning produce from your garden or the local farmer’s market.
  21. Go play golf or mini-golf together.
  22. Binge watch your favorite movie series, such as the Hobbit movies or the God’s Not Dead series.
  23. Create an obstacle course in your back yard and compete to see who can complete it in the fastest time!
  24. Spend some time with an older couple you know. Ask them about their marriage and if they have any advice for younger couples.
  25. Use paint, paint markers, or wall stickers to create a mural on your bedroom wall.
  26. Draw or paint portraits of each other.
  27. Put the names of some local restaurants into a hat. Choose one at random and have dinner there.
  28. Go for a sunset swim at the beach.
  29. Go on a pranking spree! Glue a penny to the sidewalk. Go to a family member’s house who isn’t home and stick googly eyes on all their family pictures. Do something harmless and fun!
  30. Play “name that tune” by taking turns playing a few seconds of a song and having your spouse guess what song it is.
  31. Play “name that movie” by taking turns saying a quote from a movie and having your spouse guess what movie it’s from.
  32. Adopt a pet together! Check the local animal shelter for dogs and cats in need of a forever home, or head to the pet store for a hamster, a bearded dragon, or some fish!
  33. Build a fire and make s’mores! Try making them in different ways, like adding sliced strawberries, using cinnamon graham crackers, or using a peppermint patty as the chocolate!
  34. Compete with each other to win the most Minute to Win It games.
  35. Borrow the kid’s legos and build something together.

  37. Make a blanket fort in your living room and camp out there for the night.
  38. Pack a picnic dinner, and find a sculpture park or hiking trail to explore and eat at.
  39. Be silly together by doing something fun with each other’s hair! You can use colored chalk, hair bows, or pomade to get creative. Then take selfies while making funny faces!
  40. Wear white clothing and have a paint water balloon or paint squirt gun battle.
  41. Make a list of goals you want to accomplish together, or a “bucket list” for your relationship.
  42. Visit a flea market or thrift store and see what kinds of treasures you can find.
  43. If you both like coffee, do a taste test of different kinds of coffee or creamers.
  44. Play hide and seek.
  45. Tackle a home improvement project, like painting a room or installing new flooring, together.
  46. Take in a sporting event together, such as a baseball or hockey game.
  47. Do the “Penny Date
  48. Play Frisbee, catch, horseshoes, or other outdoor games.
  49. Make a time capsule together.
  50. For your anniversary, do a number date. For example, if it’s your 5 year anniversary, choose 5 different things from my date night ideas lists to do together throughout your date!

  3. One of my favorite date nights with my husband was when we went to a local college and walked around. It made us feel like we were college kids again, back when we met.
